Vinesh Phogat allegations of Sexual Harassment on WFI President Brij Bhushan Sharan
On April 21, a group of seven female wrestlers, including a minor, lodged individual complaints of sexual harassment and criminal intimidation against the president of WFI Brij Bhushan Sharan at the Connaught Place police station in Delhi. Subsequently, the wrestlers approached the Supreme Court, alleging that the police had failed to register FIRs (First Information Reports). Vinesh Phogat In addition to accusing Brij Bhushan of sexual harassment, she revealed that she also endured mental harassment, leading her to contemplate suicide.
Prominent Indian wrestlers including Vinesh Phogat, Sakshee Malikkh, Bajrang Punia, and several others are actively participating in the protest against the president of WFI (Wrestling Federation of India). Several celebrities, sports persons and politicians came in support of these players. The demonstrations are held at various places in India in support of the players.
